Preparing for home

I am happy to say that we are settled back into our lovely home.  It was a beautiful thing to have all the help that we did for the past two weeks but it dang does it feel good to be in our own space again!  Yesterday Gaetan and the kids (the older ones) went to our place to get things ready so that we didn't have a ton of stuff to do when we all came back.  First thing was to turn on our heat!  I turned it off while we were gone (no sense in heating an empty place) but that also meant it was going to be frigid... 51 degrees to be exact!  While they waited for the place to heat up they went and grabbed a few groceries so we would have some food when we got there.  After that they got Norah's crib set up in our room and everything else that we could get set up before we came home with two weeks worth of stuff from my parents.

Goose passed out on the way down... which was good, poor girl was exhausted.

It's almost like they're new toys!
When the kids got here they were so excited.  It was like it was brand new all over again!  Dude ran upstairs and was so excited to see his letter mat, his heat shield and his own bed.  Both kids just hopped into their bed and enjoyed it for a little while.  They have a pretty good set up at my parents, but there really isn't anything that beats the feeling of your own sheets, bed and comfort.  And the nice thing for us is that their toys almost seem brand new again!  haha.

While they where out and about Norah blew out her diaper so badly that it was down to her knees... you know you're in for a treat when getting their pants off to change them and your hand is poopy... thank goodness it was only newborn poop!  So, she got a bath (of course) and smelled baby sweet once again.

I was glad that we got that stuff done before the craziness of getting everybody here happened.  It was nice for the kids to get out of the house, and I know that everybody was looking forward to being home... and warmer.  ;)
