Happy Easter!

Our first Sunday out of the hospital happened to be Easter!  I have to say it didn't really feel like Easter to me, but I'm sure there were many factors for that.  We obviously didn't go to church (since I'm still recovering) and to me Easter is always in April!  But.... on that note, it did land on our good friend, Ashley's, birthday!  So happy birthday Ashley!

This is Norah's way of saying Happy Easter!

The older kids!  :)

I love her curly hair... so I wanted to get a picture of it before it went away!

Anyhoo... Ingrid and Mike came to visit Miss Norah that day also.  They had worked out a time to come between 11-12... and guess what time they showed up?  You guessed it... super late.  At around 1 they showed... and with no text or call saying that they were running late.  I mean it didn't matter because lunch was going to be at 2 and we didn't have any activities planned, but you just feel in limbo as you wait for somebody to show during a time and then they don't.  :(  I wasn't thrilled about it, but it is what it is.

The visit went ok.  Her hair was brought to a whole nother level of ridiculous.  The kids seemed to have fun with her, which was good.  I had a HUGE headache because of a perfume or cologne that they were wearing, and it put me in quite a fog.  :(  She made a little comment that I wanted to strangle her for about being sore still a week after having major surgery.  Really?!  I wanted to roll my eyes at her, but I didn't think that would've been nice.  Yes, I am still sore.  Yes, I will be sore for probably a few more weeks but I'll manage.  She almost acted incredulous that I wasn't up and around moving quickly and back to normal life.  I suppose it would be hard to understand if one hadn't experienced it...

Phyllis gave presents to Lucy and Norah.  It is always such a surprise that she does so well with gifts for them... She gave Norah this super soft blanket and Lucy this pillow pet that lights up with stars on its back.  It's really cool!  :)  The kids had a lot of fun looking at the different stars in the dark while the lights changed color.  I have to stop being a bum and write that lady a thank-you... I still owe her from Christmas!  Yikes!

I think overall the visit went well.  I am happy that we could do it a week after Norah was born at my parents instead of at the hospital.  Unfortunately for Mike this will be the last visit for quite awhile.  I am putting my foot down and she won't be visiting for at least a few months.  I know that it will be hard and she won't understand, but I have to do what is best for my family end o story.
