The first day home was proven to be a success. :) The kids slept in til 8:45 (all of them) and Norah was getting some pretty good sleep in her crib. Poor girly is still stuffed up, but she was doing about 2 hours at a time, which was nice. I was even doing a good job of getting in and out of bed without to much discomfort too! For the past two weeks I had been sleeping propped up on the couch so this was the first time sleeping flat on my back. Not gonna lie, really like not being freezing when I wake up to feed Norah. I know that my parents (well, my Mom) tried to turn the heat up for everybody else's comfort but they still have their thermostat programmed to turn down to 63 during the day because of their work schedules. Not cool. In fact, freezing. ;) But, I thoroughly enjoyed the set up we have in our room with Norah and the rocking chair we are borrowing from Mom and Dad.

Smiley Saurus at 3 in the morning. Makes the feedings worth it. :) |
In the morning I made break and did a little organizing and cleaning up but that was a little much. I was definitely feeling it come the afternoon time and was looking forward to Norah's nap. Her first little go at it wasn't that great... and in fact I was in a lot of pain so Gaetan had to help me get her out of the crib. :( But after she ate and all that she slept for almost 4 hours! Gaetan ended up taking the kids out to grab a few more random groceries I forgot about and then to Barnes and Noble. Lucy lost her little hippo the other day while they were out and about so they got her a replacement. It's so amazing that having both of the older kids isn't such a big deal anymore... and that it's actually becoming the norm! But, that is just because Gaetan is the man and is taking care of business. I'm sure having them out and about which gave us quiet probably helped with the sleeping :)
Gaetan was awesome and made dinner and got me up so that I could eat with them. Then, I cleaned up the kitchen and even went up the stairs! It was nice to hang out with the kids up there (and it's also warmer) and be with them until they had to go to bed. Again, the kids where so excited about their toys because they hadn't seen them in awhile so they kept themselves fairly busy.
Norah had her first blow out all over the changing mat and Gaetan got peed on for the first time in three kids! Not bad. So, we gave her a quick bath before the kids went to bed and then she hung out with me until she went to bed. Even though I got a good nap in it's surprising how tired I am already. And it's also interesting how much my temperature has changed since not being pregnant. Gaetan said that it was going to be a rude awakening when I didn't have my own personal heater and I realized exactly how cold things where! haha. He was right. Like always. :) But, our room is nice and toasty if we keep the door shut, which allows me to go back to sleeping in shorts with no socks (as the way it should be). :) Oh, the little things in life.
