Lucy's two year check up

I can't believe that in a few short days Lucy is going to be two.  I mean, I can and I can't at the same time.  She has the personality of a teenager, but it seems like just yesterday she was my baby girl.  I know that ever since the idea of being a big sister, and potty training has turned her into a big girl instead of a baby, but there is still something about it that makes it hard to believe that it's been two years already.  She is talking so much more, and I know that she sand bags... I know she can say a lot more things than she leads on... but Dude did the same thing.  One of these days she's going to start talking and she will never stop!

The Dr said that she was growing perfectly... that our children are text book and perfect models of what children should look like.  Lucy weighed 29 lbs and was 33.5 inches.  She was in the 50% for her height and 75% for her weight.  She wowed him with her knowledge of colors and how things work.  Everybody was impressed that she was potty trained but not surprised.  :)  She did have to get one shot but afterwards she gave the nurse a high 5 so she seemed to get over it nicely.  Dude also proceeded to tell the nurse that he loves calamari and that we were getting sushi after the appointment.... not typical things for a three year old to love.

They loved the tea!

Afterwards they went out for sushi upon Dude's request.  While they were at the Dr's I was trying to get things packed and ready to go for when they got home.  Those crazy kids love sushi!  Lucy was more about the miso soup, but she did have her fair share of sushi.  Dude downed 1.5 rolls... he really liked the salmon skin roll, which is impressive.  During their outing Lucy apparently grabbed the entire glob of wasabi and ate it... then proceeded to giggle and say Gi-Go!  The weird thing was that she thought that the ginger was to spicy but not the wasabi... They also handled the chop sticks really well too.  Love my crazy kids.

After they got back to my parents house we loaded all our crap up into our lovely van (thank goodness for all that extra space!) and headed home.
