A couple of weeks ago I had to play a wedding on the east side of the state. I normally wouldn't agree to play a wedding a couple hours away for people I didn't know, but I figured I could use this opportunity to make some extra money and visit some friends :)
I volunteered to go to the rehearsal on Friday, which is something I normally do. Out of all the weddings I've played (which is a TON) I think I've gone to every single rehearsal. I think it just shows a sort of professionalism, that you actually care about the bride and groom and it gives you a better idea of the setting, environment and what you're getting yourself into. This was probably the shortest rehearsal I had ever been too, and for that I am thankful. It was really good that I went too because there was a lot of things that needed to be cleared up and I felt much better about it after I left. I was quite happy with the length of the rehearsal because that meant I could spend more time with friends... :)
Now, I'm not quite sure how this happens but it appears that I'm most of my friends junk food friend. Yup, that friend that willingly gets junk food, definitely won't be judging you for having junk food and occasionally will encourage you to indulge. I was really excited to go see Gato and Ratty, because, really, when don't I take the opportunity to see them? When I got there Gato said that it was time for me to live up to my junk food friend status and off we went to get some McDonalds and Wendy's. As gross as it is, Big Macs really are where it's at. And for the 10 minutes or so after we ate them we were really happy that we did. haha. Surprisingly enough for everything that hasn't been sitting well, that actually did. Weird.
I wasn't planning on staying as late as I did, which, let's be real, is always the case. I always have a plan of when I should go, but it never happens. We always get talking about something, doing something and then I realize its way later than I thought! :) Which, is probably a good thing because that means we have a lot to talk about. This was a good girl gab fest with Ratty. It was just good to sit, talk and be. :) I wasn't feeling particularly the greatest, but it was OK. When conversation and hang out time is that good you just kinda don't realize it. I did eventually have to listen to my ever so failing and exhausted body and head home.
Even though I was pretty exhausted by the time I got home it was of course well worth it. :)
