Yesterday Dude had his three year check up at the Dr's. He's finally all down with his immunizations and so they're just making sure he's progressing as he should and is healthy! :) He is in the 55% for his weight and 58% for his height. He's 32 lbs and 3'2. :) Of course he is beyond the scope of what they are hoping a three year old can do. Things like, 'what's your name?' 'can you count to three?' Something that was funny was at his appointment the Dr likes to look in your eyes and he covered his eyes and hid his face right away. Not trying to be a pain, but because he knows he's not supposed to look into bright lights because it will hurt his eyes. :) Sometimes, he's to smart.
He and Gaetan went to his appointment while Lucy and I chilled with Grandma and Don. We stayed outside almost the entire time they were gone because 1.) the weather was so nice 2.) Grandma and Don were doing some landscaping 3.) Lucy LOVES being out there. She loves all the things in nature with all their different textures. It really was such a beautiful day out.
After their appointment they stopped and got some gyros... which I had been craving. Something about the pickled turnips and cucumber sauce was calling my name. :) The guy at Pita House even called Gaetan out on my order. I told Gaetan I wanted extra turnips and pickles, so when he told the guy that he said, "it's almost like you're pregnant..." is it that obvious? haha.
When they got there we set out a blanket and had a nice little picnic. 1.) because the weather was so nice. 2.) Grandma and Don were still outside 3.) Tristan was curious at what they were doing and wanted to eat but also wanted to watch. It was such a nice relaxing afternoon. I don't think I can do it justice with trying to put into words the peace that was felt, but it was much needed.
