Oma Oma is leaving on Sunday so we wanted to see her one last time before she headed back to the mother land. :) Since Gaetan had gone back to school and Ingrid had gone back to work, then we decided to meet in Lansing for dinner after she got out of work. She told us to pick the place and then she'd meet us there. And... she was actually on time, even early! It was amazing!
We had a great time at PF Changs. She had never been there and she really liked the atmosphere. The kids were digging it big time. They hadn't been very good eaters the day before and that's not like them at all... so of course it makes me a little worried, but I have to keep reminding myself that kids won't let themselves starve. Lucy was charming up the table by us and Dude was having the time of his life eating with chopsticks. We had to get the lettuce wraps, because I think that everybody who goes to PF Changs gets their lettuce wraps and we tried out their egg rolls too. Oma Oma seemed to really like it, but she is really laid back and likes most things, which is why we like her so much! :)
The kids did GREAT with their meals. Dude was such a big boy eater that he convinced Ingrid to get him dessert because he did such a great job with everything else. I had this DELICIOUS ginger beer... I thought that the ginger would settle my stomach, and really I figured it would be like ginger ale, but it was WAY more gingery and delicious. It had lemon, and mint in it too... yum yum!

We got a table that was close to the kitchen and they have the glass windows so you can see them cooking and Dude thought that was great. While we were waiting for our bill he charmed up one of the servers in the back and got 3 more fortune cookies. He was pretty proud of himself. Lucy was really interested in one of the statues in the restaurant so we went and checked it out and she high fived it and almost knocked it over! Apparently, the statues are not welded down just FYI. :) My favorite part is how Oma Oma asks for a high five. She says, "Give me the five." and in her accent it's just priceless.

Lucy wanted to see what was going on but she wasn't tall enough... so Papa helped her out with a boost. |

We had a good time together... the meal was delicious and the company was really good. The kids behaved themselves which made for a less stressful night. Lucy wasn't so thrilled on the way there to be in the car, but she did pretty well once we got there. Glad we got to see Oma Oma again before she left... she's a wonderful woman. :) Safe Travels Oma Oma! We love you!
