Sledding

With all the recent snow fall that has actually stuck around we were excited to be able to take the kids sledding!  I mean, I know that it's winter in Michigan, but since having kids we haven't really been able to experience all the fun you can have in the snow!  Man, oh man, do these kids LOVE sledding!  We bought this heavy duty sled that was meant for hauling camping/fishing stuff through snow so it means business.

I unfortunately don't have boots yet (I know...) so I took a lot of pictures of Gaetan with the kids.... but I did make a run down the hill with them in the sled (yup, it was that big that we all fit in it) and I pulled them back up the hill... which was hard work!  Again, unfortunately, just that one run up the hill caused contractions, so I had to take it easy for the rest of the day.  Lame.  But, the kids just kept laughing and laughing... I took a video of them while I ran beside them, which isn't that easy!  But I had to try and get their laughter for the record!

Lucy was the first to come in. They were having fun and throwing snow but then she got a face full and didn't think it was so funny... Dude stayed out with Gaetan longer until his cheeks were so rosy that the only thing to convince him to come in was hot chocolate.  Am looking forward to trying to play out in the snow with them again!  It's amazing how wonderful watching your kids enjoy things makes it better.  Simple things like sledding, snow, hot chocolate... a wonder to them but they don't know how much it warms my heart to see them enjoy life!
