Week 25 with Baby Norah

On Monday I had my routine check up for Baby Norah and an OB consult for her as well!  My appointment with Dr. Chamberlain went very well.  These are very quick... Dude was with me and he was fairly unhappy that I had to pee in a cup.  I tried explaining to him that it was so they could test that everything was OK, but he still seemed a little skeptical about the whole thing.  haha.

I am PROUD to say that I gained 12 lbs since last month... haha.  That is just ridiculous.  I'm on my way to making another horker of a baby.... :)  She is healthy though and very wiggly!  My blood pressure was really good and her heartbeat was at 130.  She was very wiggly when trying to find her fetal tones, but we got them and Dude was excited about it.  I am measuring correctly as well.  All good things!

Belly is getting bigger!
The progression... 12, 16, 20 and 25!
I do have to go back in for a standard glucose test in the next few weeks though... to make sure all the sweets I've been indulging in are being metabolized correctly... hopefully no gestational diabetes for this Momma!

My consult went well.  It was with the doctor that delivered Lucy.  He was very good with Tristan... and told us that we have a very smart, decisive little boy.  We know :)  Tristan got to help measure me at this appointment and he thought it was great!  We discussed our Norah was going to make her exit, and I'm pretty sure it will be another c-section.  Also, apparently, our kids have HUGE heads, so even if my body got it's act together and went into labor, I don't think I would be able to push their heads out.  The Dr said that anything past 14 cm is an automatic c-section and my kids heads were 13 and 14 inches!  YIKES!  So, I'm thinking that I will be able to choose what day Norah makes her grand entrance.

I have been craving a lot of vinegar and pickled things.  A lot of smoothies, avocado (not together) and fried chicken... not so many sweets as I did with Lucy (which is probably a good thing) but I still like to try new treats every now and again.

All is well in baby town... we are nearing the end of 2nd tri and I'm still feeling well!  Let's hope it carries on.  :)
