Meet Miss Norah!

Today has been an exciting and whirlwind day!  I will try to start at the beginning :)

Since yesterday was election day (more on that later) and my permanent address is still my parents I had to go to GR to vote.  I had a regular check up this morning so instead of driving back and forth we decided to stay at my parents, even though they're on vacation.  This morning the kids slept in almost 2 hours later than they have been since day light savings.  I know everybody else loves day lights savings time, but I don't think that the kids got the memo on it, so they've been waking up at like 645... which is awful when they would usually wake up around 8 or so.  Anyhoo, they slept in til 8:45 which was AMAZING!  They got to take a bath in the big tub at my parents place, and had lots of bubbles.  :)  Then, we were whisked away to my appointment.

20 week belly!

I did get weighed in and I have gained 10 lbs already... haha.  Must be the rice krispies... :)  Just a regular check up but we did get to hear the baby's heart rate again.  :)  This was the first time Gaetan got to hear it at the appointment, so that was pretty exciting.  Dude was really excited to hear it, and he even was making the sounds of the dop tones before we got there.  He sat up on the examine table with me and Papa held Lucy while we heard a strong 155 bpm.  He told us that he would get our referral in for an ultrasound and that we would hear from them when they had an appointment for us.  I have been chomping at the bit to find out the sex of the baby, so I asked if there was any way we could get in today to see.  We did some asking around and they had an appointment at 1:30!  Which was amazing!  Usually after the referral has been out then it's a week or two wait, and I just couldn't wait that long.

I had also planned on having lunch with an old high school teacher, who I would consider a really good friend now.  Mrs. Nawrocki... she has been around since when Gaetan and I got engaged and has played a huge roll in me getting to know and experience Korean cuisine.  :)  So, we got out of the referral office just in time to go get some food from my favorite restaurant in Cali, Blue Dragon.  Perfect timing, for the food to get ready, and I got to visit with The Kangs, which is always nice too!  I got dropped off and then had a nice lunch with Gina.

It was such a fast lunch time, I wish we had more time to chat!  It's fun talking about life, and being a Mom and what has worked for her and what they've been going through as well.  I was able to get my craving satisfied with some kimchee!  YUM!  But, I looked at the clock to make sure that I was drinking enough water and then I had to go!  So, I darted out and we dashed over to the appointment  :)

In order to keep the kids occupied we put them in the double stroller, brought the lap top and let them watch a show while Momma and Papa got to watch the other baby show!  :)  Dude was really excited about the Dinosaur Train (as always) but Lucy was happier watching videos on Gaetan's phone.  They were AMAZING during the ultrasound, even the technician commented on how well behaved the kids were and I had to agree.  Dude told the technician, that he thought it was a girl before we got started, and she told him during the ultrasound that he was right.  He had a pretty big smile on his face.  :)

True to form Miss Norah wouldn't really sit still, just like Lucy wouldn't during her ultrasound, but at least she stayed still long enough for us to see that she was a girl!  Lucy was being modest during hers, but they were pretty certain that it was a girl.  Norah was a wiggly wiggly worm.  The technician was impressed at how much she moved, but she did get some beautiful picture of our little lady.  I have BEEN SO EXCITED all day about finding out.  I was going to be excited either way, boy or girl, but it's just nice to know what it is, so we can be more specific about her and talk about her, instead of calling her #3.  The technician also told me that I was great for the scans she was doing but that Norah wouldn't hold still for some good pictures.

Profile of Miss Norah.  Am excited to put this on the wall next to the others :)

Nice pic of spine and bunda.  Head is to the left.  Nice pic of the femur too!

Norah waving!

She is upside down and her knees are almost to her face. Uncomfortable!

Such a lady... crossing her legs haha
My favorite part was watching her little heart and that we could see all the ventricles and atria :)  They said that she was measuring at 11 oz and in the 49th percentile, meaning that she's not overly big or small for her weeks :)  Due date is still March 28th, and everything is looking healthy and good!  Norah really liked to head butt my bladder, and kick and push her bunda into anything that she thought was in her way.  She has a lot of personality already... :)  Looking forward to it.  Being able to see her makes everything so much more real and exciting.  Seeing her and all the personality she has already is amazing and it makes me excited to see how she will be once she's out!

Papa's great idea to celebrate by getting milkshakes!

The kiddos did not object  :)
