Just ask Dude what his favorite color is and he will tell you it's yellow. Why? Because when he was so into Busytown Mysteries Sally (one of the main characters) favorite color is yellow. At the tail end of last summer he told us that he wanted to learn how to ride without training wheels... but he wasn't quite ready for it yet. At the beginning of this summer we took them off but he wasn't about it at all, so we put them back on only really high (so they weren't even touching the ground). He informed us that if we got him a bigger yellow bike without training wheels then he would learn how to ride it. Well, we did and then he kept up his end of the bargain too! Today we went to Haverhill so that the girls could swing and G taught him how to ride a two-wheeler and after the second go he had it down! I was so proud of him! He's fast on it too! Turns out he needed to know that he could put his feet down when he wasn't pedaling in case he thought he was going to fall off. Now that he knew that he wasn't afraid of slowing down or falling! It was glorious! Good work Dude! Momma and Papa are so proud of you. He also informed us that once he learned how to ride without training wheels that he would gift Lucy his old bike because she, of course, wants to be just like big brother. :)
