For Easter Ingrid gave the kids some planters with seeds. There was one set for flowers and one for herbs... well, we finally got around to planting them and they took off! They did so well so fast that we already planted them outside. :) We got to sample a little bit of Lucy's cilantro today and it was yummy! Excited to see the rest of them grow! I'm pretty excited actually because I kill everything, so I was pretty pleased they actually grew sprouts. Probably because G did it haha.
At the beginning of the process! |
They had to wait a few minutes for their soil pods to soak up the water and plump out |
Lucy had the herbs |
Planting some seeds |
She was pretty good about opening up the soil packets to get the seeds in |
Sprinkling them in |
Dude did the flowers |
He wasn't as thrilled about getting his fingers dirty at first... |
but then he got really into it and did well! |
The flower sprouted first so we got to put them in the sunlight |
Then they grew.... |
and grew! We were waiting to plant them but it kept storming out and we didn't want them to get pummeled |
Lucy's finally came up |
And started taking off too! |
Waiting for a good day to put them in the ground |
We got Dude a little shovel and he was thrilled |
He was transferring his flowers |
That's what they look like so far |
These are what Lucy's look like in the ground |
We got some succulents from Ms. Nanc and Lucy loved them! |
That one was really fuzzy and Lucy loved 'petting' it |
We decided that we needed to put them in the ground as our kitchen table was becoming overrun with plants! |
Dude wanted to plant his Jade outside as well |
Now our hosta friends have some other plants :) |
