Fizz, Boom, Read!

The library had it's summer reading kick off and the theme is Fizz, Boom, Read!  So for a couple of hours in the morning time they had all these different science experiments set up all around the downstairs and the kids went crazy for it!  :)  If they were a little older I think that they could've gotten through them faster, but they definitely had a lot of fun doing what they could.  :)  Again, this library is awesome.

The crazy kids in the O's of the Boom!
This one is a subwoofer and put the ooblick on it and when it turns on it dances!
Dude thought it was cool

Norah got to feel the ooblick afterwards
Digital microscopes
Picking out what slide they wanted to look at
Showing them how to use a stethoscope

They each got to listen to each other's heart and then we jumped around to see how fast our hearts went.
At resting they were both at 90 and then after jumping around Dude was at 140 and Goose was 160
Decorating his mobius strips

Experimenting with balance points and fulcrums

Cantilever
Steve (we call him guy librarian) was showing Dude what to do
Making their slides to look under a reg telescope
Dude our little scientist
Lucy getting right in there too
trying different sound things
Tuning fork

Remember the coffee filter and water color markers?!

Dude loved using the little dropper
Goose doing hers
She just wanted to soak her entire thing
She was pretty good at it though
Their water table outside
Dude pretending he has some ice cream

Using lasers and mirrors to turn the radio on
Using thermo imaging to see like snakes do!
Lucy wanted me to wear these 'earrings' that they decorated their mobius strips with... those things stayed on for a week!
