We wanted to carve pumpkins this year but never got around to it... the weekends just kept getting busier and we didn't actually get around to purchasing pumpkins until Halloween, so we didn't get a chance to carve them. Instead, I thought that it would be safer, and easier to watch them if they painted some pumpkins. It also worked out really well because the weather was pretty nice and we had to get all the leaves out of our yard for pick up, so we just set the kiddos up outside at the table and let them go to town. It was nice that they could craft by themselves with minimal supervision (Norah did end up painting the table, herself, mimia and her hair) but that's the beautiful thing about washable paint :)

While they enjoyed the fabulous fall weather we did get all our leaves taken care of, it was a win-win! Thank you little munchkins for loving to be outdoors
