Impromptu picnic

Now that school has started and all activities are in full swing, our schedule is a bit hectic with only one car.  That usually isn't a problem, but today I messed up the time of when we needed to pick G up from school and he wasn't done with his meetings yet... It wasn't going to be long enough to go back home so there is this wide open field that I see when we go our ritual go see "Knock down, build up" house and the Caboose.  So, I ventured over there to find out that we could park without any trouble and we had ourselves a mini picnic.  The kids were loving running around the baseball diamond and then having some snacks on our blanket.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we lounged, soaked up as much sun as possible and ran free through the open grass.  It was a good way to spend an hour due to my mistake.  :)
