Moon Cake

I had been seeing this moon cakes around because of the Chinese Eclipse Festival, but had never tried one before.  At the Asian market they had some but they were really expensive!  Like, a box of 4 was something like $32!  I wasn't about to pay that much for a box, granted the box was really pretty, but luckily they were selling individual ones for like $4. I thought that it would be at least interesting to try... so we did.  For as beautiful as it was, it wasn't that good, in my opinion.  It smelled very peanut buttery which wasn't at all what I was expecting by looking at it.  My friend Jane thinks they used chestnuts.  The middle had some nugget of something which was strange and the rest of it was pretty rice cake consistency.  Norah liked it to have more than one small piece but everybody else was happy with just one.  :)
