HomeSchooling

This year we officially started homeschooling Dude.  He would be in first grade this year, so we really needed too.  I was having a hard time staying organized to make sure they had work to do the next morning and when I did put a lot of work into it they didn't seem interested, which frustrated me because I worked so hard at it!

We found a great alternative and everybody seems very happy with the new set up.  They have been using these workbooks that we found at Barnes and Noble and they are helpful with subjects I'm not so great at, like language arts and writing.  Dude has a few books that he's going through but he does really well with it.  We even got some books for the girls so they could do something while he was doing school.  It also helps that they don't bug them that way too.  :)

Something that my sister told me about that really helps is that Barnes and Nobles gives educator cards to homeschoolers so we get a nice discount on all their school stuff!  its awesome!  I am really enjoying homeschooling, and I know that this is what is working best for Dude.

Lucy keeps asking to go to school, and I think she will probably excel in a bigger class, so we will see where we are next year!
