Halloween!

The weather this year for Halloween did no disappoint, in that is like every other year I remember Halloween weather being... cold, and wet.  I was not up for trick or treating outside, so we found some indoor things to do during the day :)

After G got home from work, we quickly got the kids going to the mall where they had indoor trick or treating. The stores that were participating had an orange pumpkin or people standing out in front of the store handing out candy.  It was a pretty popular thing to do because we pretty much just walked in a line and got candy that way.  The kids didn't seem to mind and Norah just chilled in the wagon, so she was pretty happy with it.  They got a healthy amount of candy too!

Next, we went to the farmer's market because we needed pumpkins!  We did get some fabulous pumpkins, and the plan was to carve them, but we ended up painting them instead.  Then, we headed to the museum downtown because they were having crafts and stuff all day.

I wish I could stay longer that these types of things but I can't... being around so many people like that, even if I'm not interacting with them, makes me so tired.  I get sensory overload and then I just want to hide in the corner.  The kids did get to do some crafts and they even enjoyed some of the exhibits the museum had out!  It seemed like they had a good time and it was all indoors so we stayed nice and dry.

Later that evening G and I went to a Halloween party with Nancy and Scott.  It was good to get out, but we didn't really know anybody at the party but Scott and Nancy so it was a little awkward.  And, to be honest, I think we were both too tired to want to make the effort to hang out with strangers.  The party itself though was really well done... Erica knows how to throw a great party!  And thank you to the Mins for watching the kiddos while we went out for a bit.  :)
