I was looking for a new project to do since I last did the kid's dino hoodies... and I ran across one of the first blankets I tried knitting when I was little. My Grandma bought me some HUGE knitting needles and some yarn and told me how to just do a basic blanket. The only difference with this than what I was used to was that you used two different strands at the same time so that it was extra thick. However, since I was young and new to this I dropped a lot of stitches... so there were a lot of holes in it. It turned up at my parents house the other day so I took it home, ripped it all out and then I had this HUGE ball of yarn. I thought I would knit another one with smaller needles and no mistakes :) I finally finished the baby afghan and it's quite warm and cozy. There aren't any fancy patterns or stitches to it, real straight forward, but I was pretty proud that it got finished before she was born and that there weren't any mistakes. :) Now, I'm on to a new project... maybe.
