Hanging with the Nawrocki's

Summer is coming to a close so we had to get in another with our beloved friends, the Nawrocki's.  She's a teacher and was already back in her classroom putting her room together, so we knew that time was running out!  The plan was to go to their place at Sandy Pines but the weather wasn't feeling it... in fact, it rained so hard on the way there that we could hardly see the car in front of us!  We went to their house instead, which was better if we were going to be inside and the kids played hard.  The Nawrocki's have so many toys that our kids were busy just looking at them all at first.

Her husband called but she was covered in batter so she answered it with her nose and talked like this... it was quite comical

It was a double batch... we ate most of them!

We made these strawberry cookies that didn't take a lot of ingredients, and where easy for the kids to help out with.  Dude was all about it because he loves to 1.) Help out 2.) cook 3.) cookies!  They turned out really good... a bit funny looking but tasty nonetheless.

It was just a good day for hanging out when the weather was crappy.  We had some good talks and a lot of being silly.  The kids were getting a little naughty and then I realized that it was past their bedtime!  Time was flying by!  So, after her kids melted down too we decided that it was time to hit the road.  All the kids passed out on the way home... signs of a good day.  :)
