Gracie's birthday

After the batizado we drove straight to my parents house since we had business in GR Saturday afternoon.  The kids were all asleep when we got there so we just transferred them in bed, and then got ready for bed ourselves.  I wasn't feeling the greatest but Grace had told me that her parents had washed all the toys for our kids so we had to come.  :)  Tristan was having a bit of trouble behaving so I wasn't sure he was going to be able to go, but I knew that the Ullrey's would be disappointed that they washed the train set just for him and he wasn't there... so the little stinker got to go.

The menu... there is never a limit of delicious food at the Ullreys!

Lou stole somebody's corn on the cob (Lucy's) and wouldn't give it back

He just loved the train set.  They had a little farm toy that I remember having when I was little... it was fun to play with it again :)  We really truly love hanging out with their family.  Gracie's brother was there with his wife and their enormous dog Lou.  Tristan had met this big ole dog before but he was much littler... so it took some time for the kids to get used to the idea of this rather large, but friendly dog.  We had an absolute feast too!  The kids did a great job eating and they charmed the pants off of everybody there.  Of course there was peach pie, since it's Grace's favorite, cookie ice cream sandwiches and blueberry buckle.  I haven't been this full in a really long time... Norah was tired so I nursed her and she fell asleep on a bed upstairs, so it was EASY only have the crazies.  I even got to eat hot food!  Hizzah!

After hanging out for awhile and just doing life together it was time to go.  It is just so nice to hang out because that's what we do... hang out.  Nothing fancy, no expectations other than enjoying each other's company, and what better way to do that than celebrating Grace's life.
