I had never been to this event before but it seemed interesting enough. The premise is local artists can bring their work to this outside venue and people can view and purchase if they want. There is live music, deals on food and kids activities. The one that the kids did was their own painting. :) My high school friend, Marie, who invited me was running the kids painting. So, it was nice to see her and enjoy the art! The weather was beautiful and we ran into another friend and her son, Max, who is a day younger than Lucy. It was great catching up with her and seeing how much her son has grown!

After the kids finished up we went back to my parents for lunch. The kids wanted to go out for sushi since we were downtown, but I wasn't feeling well and Norah needed to sleep... so we went home. Lucy passed out on the way back, so she was in need of a nap too! Dude was just super excited to be back at Grandma and Don's... so we had a picnic outside. We made sandwich sushi (pinterest) to which Dude named it "chocolate skin rolls" and "Caledonia roll" (his take on salmon skin and california) The Chocolate skin roll was made with peanut butter and nutella and the caledonia roll was just peanut butter. We sat on the deck and had a great picnic with our 'sushi', and fresh picked vegetables out of the garden. It. Was. Beautiful. It was just one of those afternoons on a lazy Sunday that you wouldn't mind doing every day. The kids then played outside and had a blast until it was time to come in, eat dinner and clean up.
Thanks Amy! Best. Show. Ever. |
On the way home Dude surprisingly fell asleep in the car and Lucy did not. We got everybody in bed and got to watch Newsroom. Perfect Sunday.
