Sensitive Norah

The weirdest thing was happening with Norah.  She was good with Gaetan when she was first born and for the entire time we stayed at my parents... but a little bit after we got home she would cry and scream every time Gaetan held her, which, of course, boosted his self esteem.  :(  It was a bit harder on me too because that meant I really didn't get relief from holding her unless she was sleeping and I could put her to bed.  And we just couldn't figure out what was wrong with her because I would hand her off and she would either be on the verge of sleeping or just fed and changed (so she was happy and content) and as soon as he would take her she would freak out!  So... we had to figure out what the deal was.

Something stinks...

Ok, I'm good with it now.

And did we figure out what it was?  You bet we did!  Turns out during the transition Gaetan had gotten a different deodarant (on accident) and the smell was bothering her!  For those of you who are Scrubs fans this totally reminded me of when JD would try and hold Sam and he would cry but then be just fine when Elliot's boyfriend Shaun would hold him.... crazy that something like a smell would bother her so much.

So, he ran out and got a different type of deo that wouldn't bother her and she has been happy as a clam with him ever since.  Hooray for all of us!  :)
