Getting the garden ready

Ever since last year Dude has been really excited about the garden at Grandma and Don's.  He loved helping point out the beetles for Grandma to get and getting the hard to reach tomatoes and green beans.  This year we happened to be around when they were getting the garden ready... putting the dirt down, fertilizing and marking out where things where going to go.  THEY LOVED IT.  I think mostly they liked playing in the dirt, but any exposure to that sort of thing is good right?  They gave Lucy a little shovel to help put it in the wheel barrow and she was in heaven.  Dude is looking forward to when things start growing and he can help point out what is ripe and being able to eat it!
