Something that Duder and I have been working on has been his ability to let it go when Lucy comes over and messes with the toys he's playing with. Usually the train set is the victim (her name IS Hurricane Lucy) but this particular day it was his duplo blocks.

Putting the finishing touches on the tall tower |
He loves building things very tall... tall towers. And, of course, that means that it very enticing for little sisters to want to come and push them over. Lately, he has been freaking out over little things so today I was trying very hard at every opportunity to let him know that it's 'no big deal.' So the first time she did it he freaked. But then, I showed him that we could just re-build it, no big deal! So we had a lot of fun re-building, and of course when it was finished, Lucy came over and pushed it down. Now, I don't want to make her out to be the bad guy, and to her it's just fun, so this was her way of playing with him. After a few times of building it up again and having it get knocked down he was getting the idea that it was OK.

The unassuming culprit... |
He soon liked it when she could come over and push it down, and realized that it was her way of playing with him. So, now when she does something like that, he just laughs, sometimes calls her Lucy Deucy and says, "No big deal!" :)
