Dude purchase

Tristan was recently given some cash to spend on whatever he wanted (from his newest favorite pal Amy).  We asked him what sorts of things he might want to buy with it and he said, "books!"  Of course.  :)

So, we took him to Barnes and Noble today to pick out some books.  He wanted every one.  He's really into Curious George, books by Sandra Boynton (they're really silly and they rhyme, what's not to love?) ABC stuff and Dinosaurs.  He eagerly held onto his $20 and looked around at the selection before him.

Why do I have to do this Momma?

Oh yeah!  We're going to the book store!

He really wanted this book called, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, but it was like $18.95, which would've taken up all his money :( so he decided that he would get more for his buck.  He ended up with a collection of Curious George books (8 books) and then another Curious George book and the ABC book by Dr. Seuss.  Not bad for $20!  He was SO excited about it.

I'm glad that he is excited about books and learning.  We are going to Better World Books some of the other ones that he picked out but didn't have the money for.  This is his first time that he's had the option to buy whatever he wanted with money.  I'm glad he didn't waste it!  :)

Promptly enjoying his gifts as soon as we got home.
