Sunday was another busy day. Not as much driving but we finally got a chance to see the Schampers! The last time we had seen them was the Sunday before Norah was born and then after that I was recovering. When we were finally starting to get back on our feet they took a vacation to Japan to see Tomo's family before their baby is born (they're having a boy!) So, this was the first time they got to meet Norah!

It was good to see them. The kids had so much fun playing together. In those two months Kai grew up so much. I used to not be able to understand him very well but I could clear as day now! There is something that just clicked for him I think and all the things that he knew in his head he was finally able to articulate. Something that was really nice to see was Tristan and Kai playing together. They used to get really excited about seeing each other but when they finally got together they would play near one another, but not WITH the other. This time they played together the entire time. It was awesome. And that also meant that they were going to occupy each other so we could get lunch together... and not only did they play together they played WELL together.
Sakura played shy for a little while but after a little bit she warmed right up to Gaetan. Lucy and Sakura hung out together a bit, and seeing them together just spells trouble. They may be adorable but you know they are full of mischief. Norah was a good baby (as usual) and really was only awake to feed.
We had a lot of fun eating, cooking, walking, playing and hanging out. We loved hearing about their trip to Japan and I know that Michael and Gaetan had a good time chatting. Tomo and I had a lot of fun talking about baby stuff and our crazy kids... and of course she's an adorable pregnant lady. If I didn't know her I would never know that she was pregnant. She is in that great stage where you have all that energy back and are excited about knowing the sex of that baby... the stage that you try to remember of pregnancy :)

I couldn't believe how long we stayed! Especially because all of our kids, at one point or another, melted down. None of them had naps and they were so excited about playing with each other... so all that hype was bound to result in a melt down sometime. I think that Kai was the best behaved ultimately, which isn't normally the case. I think having this new baby is really helping him grow up and he's doing it quite well. Pretty much after that we were all exhausted and needed a day to recover. Good thing Gaetan had Memorial Day off from school :)
