Jungle Joes

The weather had been pretty rainy and nasty out and I could tell that the kids were getting restless... so for something fun I thought that we would check out this place that a guy recommended to me when we first moved to Portage almost two years ago on a playground.  He was telling me different places that he likes to take his son and he told me about Jungle Joes and this park called Ramona Park.  It has a splash pad and a lake, which is going to be handy this year so our complex doesn't have a pool.

During one of our 'exploring' expeditions I was looking for the soccer place where Gaetan plays.  That exploring was fruitful... we found both Ramona Park and this Jungle Joes.  So, I looked this place up online and it looked great!  So, we thought that we would give it a try.

When we drove up we saw a school bus there and kind of looked at each other and groaned.  Usually when we see that we wouldn't do it because that doesn't bode well for our little kids getting run over by large groups of kids.  But, we figured that we would try it regardless.

Jungle Joe's is a place with inflatable slides, obstacle courses, bounce places and arcade games... its really clean and nicely lit.  And the group of kids that were there wasn't a large group and they were SO GOOD.  They were so good that we wrote their school a thank-you note afterwards because we were so impressed with their behavior and how well they were with our kids.  Battle Creek Academy, you were well represented today!

The Tiger Slide... Dude's favorite

He started experimenting with different ways to get down the slide

Goose jumping her way across the bridge

I think this represents Lucy quite well... she's a blur always

Thumbs up!

Norah... looks like she's on a tropical vacation haha

High 5's!

Well, the kids played so incredibly hard... my goal was complete!  Norah slept the entire time so that made it easy to watch Dude go up and down the Tiger slide as many times as he could.  Lucy had a lot of fun but needed help getting over some of the obstacles... other times she would just brute her way through.  They played the entire 1.5 hours nonstop... it was impressive.  Dude was going down the slides all sorts of crazy ways... so much even that he slide burned his ear!  We didn't realize it until a few days later, but it was there and he just laughed about it.

We will definitely be going back there again.  It's a great rainy day (or cold day) fun thing.  Tristan really wanted Kai to come there with him next.  It's even fun for adults... just ask Gaetan.  :)
