Because of my lameness that is the last few weeks of pregnancy I get tired really easily, so my wonderful and dear husband takes the kids out on adventures so I can either rest or sleep in quiet. Its amazing that he understands all that's going on in a pregnant body when clearly he will never have that experience! And to know that if I actually fall asleep (even if it's at weird times of the day) that its precious time so he does his very best to make sure that its the best rest I can get.
This time he took the kids to a playplace. It was just McDonald's but it was really nasty outside and we wanted the kids to burn some energy. It's hit or miss if this is a good idea depending on what type of kids are there. This time wasn't so fabulous, but they had a good time for a bit. Apparently, there was this bully 8 or 9 year old there who was picking on Lucy and Big Brother came and saved the day. :) Apparently, this kid pushed Lucy down and all you hear Dude saying is, "No! That's my little sister!" And he pushed the kid so hard that he fell down! Said kid went to his Dad all upset saying that this kid pushed him down and the Dad asked who. The kid pointed at Tristan and his Dad said, "Really son? That kid is like 3." Then, his Mom was coming in and he ran to her for sympathy and told her the same story. The Mom told her son to 'Grow a pair' because he got wrecked by a 3 year old... and then she asked him why he got pushed in the first place. The kid guilty admitted it was because he had pushed his little sister, and then pointed her out. His Momma was not pleased with him! Imagine very large black lady telling her son that he was in trouble... eek! haha.
But it warms this Momma's heart that Dude is there for his sister, although I have every confidence that she could take care of herself... but its nice to know that they are there for each other. They will be around each other more than we can be so its good to know that they are looking out for their siblings. :)
