When it's cold outside I always think chili sounds like such a good idea. It's hearty, and warm... all the things that sound comforting! However, I'm not sure if I actually like chili... haha. So I've been on the look out for a good recipe and I think that this one isn't so bad. It's really simple to do, and there aren't a lot of ingredients that go into it. The thing I liked about it was that it used ground turkey... and the consistency of the meat was really pleasing to me. Sometimes I feel like when using ground beef it gets chewy or something weird, but this was really good. Instead of the spices they suggested I just used a packet of taco seasoning... yes, taco seasoning. At first it seemed like I was making tacos... but then it all came together. :) I also used a big 28 oz can of tomatoes instead of a small can as they suggested. The longer you can let it simmer the most flavors will develop... and it tastes great with corn bread!
