Crockpot Cheesy Potato with Sausage

This recipe reminded me a lot of potlucks.  Mainly because there are cheesy potatoes involved, and seriously, what potluck doesn't have some variation of cheesy potatoes?!  This was really good.  It does call for 6 pounds of potatoes, which seems like a lot to me, so I only did 7 large potatoes, but I think that you could probably do at least 5.  Mine turned out a bit soupier than what was advertised, but I think it was because I used less potatoes.  Also, it says to cook on high for 8 hours which seems like a lot, but you really do need to cook it on high for that long.  My guess is because of the quantity of potatoes you are trying to cook!  We used turkey smoked sausage, and my family enjoyed it quite a bit. :)  The only hassle is peeling all the potatoes, but it goes by quickly enough.
