On Sunday after church Tristan and Lucy's pals, Kai and Sakura, came over for a playdate. Tristan was really excited about having him over to his place so he could show him all his toys! The kids had a blast together and they just played hard. It's still so funny to me how similar the kids are... if I didn't know better, just based off their personalities, I would've thought they were twins separated at birth. Even when they're not around each other they seem to be having similar patterns. Sakura and Lucy both have been having some sleeping issues in the past week, and when they are tired they act very much the same.

The kids were having a blast jumping on our bed and tackling each other... |
The weather had been really weird during the day. It would rain really hard on and off... but after dinner it got sunny and looked really nice out! So, we took our chances and went to the 'big playground' as Dude calls it. He really wanted to show Kai all the fun slides and things they could do. We brought some beach towels because we assumed the slides would be wet, but they really weren't! But, it was a good thing that we brought the towels because there were some HUGE puddles and the kids immediately went in.

Lucy and Sakua were taking turns jumping together |
At first Dude wasn't so into them, but he went down a slide and didn't realize that there was a huge puddle at the bottom... and after that, he went running through any sort of puddle he could find. Lucy found another patron of the playgrounds walking thing so she played on that for awhile while everybody else was running through puddles. Sakura was ALL about the puddles, and when Lucy say everybody in them, she wanted in too. Kai, was a bit more reserved and only wanted in if his pants didn't get wet... so they just took them off and let him run around.

One of the BIG rainbows |
It was a lot of fun. We ended up having to leave because it started raining again, and it was a good thing we brought the towels because we needed them for the kids on the ride home! We saw some great rainbows there, and we went back and had some how caramel cider :)
I think that we are going to the Schamper's for Halloween to do a little trick or treating. The kids already have their costumes, and I think that I have one too. Looking forward to hanging out with them again!
