Ever since our talk with Ingrid she's been really good. It's awesome. She came earlier in the day so that she could hang out with the kids before nap time, and then she, Gaetan and Dude (because he said he wasn't tired) did some 'adventuring'. We all know how much she loves to garage sale and she got this really cute alphabet/learning thing for the kids for like $1. She couldn't believe how excited they were about it, but I pretty much told her anything alphabet and letters are going to be a big success. Per our request she brought some of Gaetan's old legos and his old violin. Ever since I've been practicing more Dude has been really interested in music and the violin, so I thought that this would be a perfect time when his interest is piqued. Gaetan wanted the legos because I guess boys never grow up out of that wanting to build.

After that Lucy and I went back home and took a nap while they did some running around. They came back with a TON of stuff. Dude got some really nice jeans that are lined, they both got PJ's, Lucy got a halloween costume, I got some maternity jeans (WHOO!) and a hand blender (which is oh so helpful for soups) and Gaetan got this nice fleecey jacket from Eddie Bauer. I couldn't believe all the stuff they got! She was really pleased with herself, because she got all that stuff in sales, and we all know how much that woman loves sales!

I even got to eat some of the pizza and it sat well, which is good. It always smelled so good, but made me feel so terrible. Anyways, Lucy did fairly well with sleeping in the pack n play (at first) and Dude was a champ. He pretty much will sleep anywhere as long as Hippo is there. He was really excited about the set up we had for him, so that made it easier too. Unfortunately, as Gaetan and I were settling in on the couch to hang out and watch a movie (and feel the baby start kicking!) Lucy woke up and wasn't about to go back down so we decided to call it a night. Gaetan ended up sleeping with Dude so that Lucy could sleep in the big bed with me... and I use the term sleeping loosely. She woke up around 11 and didn't go back down until 2:30... which involved a lot of laying on my pillow, then, rolling around, putting her feet by my head, kicking me, laughing, and trying to stick her fingers in my eyes/ears/mouth whatever. She eventually fell asleep with her butt by my face as I was rubbing her back. Silly Goose.
I think that it will get better the more that we spend the nights over there. We are going to try and transition her into a toddler bed soon (which is at my parents) so that when #3 comes along she will be ready to not be in the crib, and be excited to have her big girl bed. :)
It was a whirl wind Saturday, but it was a lot of fun.
