Have I mentioned before that I have the best husband ever? Because if I haven't, then it's long over due that I say it. There are so many amazing things that he does, by the world's standards, but there are so many more things that he does that we appreciate and acknowledge him for. For example, he's the best Papa ever. Those kids love him so much. Every time he comes home from school they drop whatever they're doing and run over to give him hugs. When he's with them, he's really with them and paying attention to what they do. That action speaks louder than words... that is letting them know that their time is important to him and what they're doing is important too. He is such a good provider and head of the house and I never have to worry about his motives or why he is making the decisions he is. I know that he's consulting with our Heavenly Father, on everything, not just the big things. And it shows.
And, he takes such good care of me. His wife. :) I know that having children, especially small ones, can leave the spouse on the back burner, but I never am. He takes time out of his day to make sure we can talk... like really talk. See how we're doing as a husband/wife team, how I'm doing as a Momma and making sure that I'm doing well. He's so very thoughtful and tries to do things that he knows I would appreciate. This first trimester was really hard on me, and he stepped up to the plate like, "of course this is what I do." I feel safe expanding our family because of the support and love he shows his family.
But, last Saturday really took the cake. He knew I was in a bad place and that there really wasn't anything that they could do to help (which is my fault, not theirs) and he took action. He knew that a nap was gonna do me a world of good, but he got a hold of my dear friend Ashley and had her come over. I know we all know he's smart, but he's a smart man with good insight into my needs. :) Not only that, but I knew he was dead tired and that he was going to have a huge week ahead of him, but he set his Saturday aside so that I could have some girl time alone and he watched the kids.
Now, the kids had a ton of fun with Papa. They always do. They play hard and usually get to do things that Momma isn't cool enough for ;) This time they went to a playground. I couldn't believe how long they stayed there and played but from the pictures it looked like they had a blast! He packed snacks (again, being smart) and they played until they were so hungry it was time to go. Here are some pictures of their adventuring with Papa.

Dude is cheering Lu on |

Lu saw him do it, so she had to of course |

Hippo needs a turn of course |

Swinging was one of the last things they did, but apparently they did it for a long time! |
|
I'm impressed that Lucy was doing it on a big swing |

Her last ditch attempt to want to play before the hunger took over |

And she makes it to the top!
