She also is now definitely pulling a Lucy with food. She will gladly (with me anyway) eat baby food if she doesn't see anybody else eating. BUT if somebody else is eating 'big people' food she will deny and deny her food until she gets whatever we're eating. So far we have tried her on a lot of breakfast foods... eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, toast, dry cereal... and pretty much anything else we are eating she will get small bits. I don't blame her really... and I want to give her a taste of everything I am eating but I have to remember there are certain things she shouldn't have until she's the right age. Now that she is into regular food this is going to make my trip to Seattle a lot easier than I thought... I had been trying to figure out how to do baby food in the airport and once I landed, but if she is down eating what I can eat... scoreinzho! This also forces me to eat healthier without unnecessary (albeit delicious additives) so that we can share.
She has been a lot more aware and you can tell what entertains her and what doesn't. She is really good at doing "how big's my baby?" and she'll throw her arms up in the air. Sometimes she only does one and then she wants you to high-5 her. Yes, I just wrote that my 8 month old wants things but I'm fairly certain she is processing those types of movements because she laughs and giggles EVERY TIME.

She is a bit of a bull too when she crawls. Just like Lucy she will put her head down and just barrel over anything in her path. It's pretty darn cute. When she pulls herself to standing she will just brute her way by using her arms, not at all using her legs... and I say this because I watch her standing on the tops of her feet... yikes! She is just so alert and aware... things are getting interesting and fun!
