Today, Tristan had his first ever Christmas party. His room leader from church invited all the kids over from Sunday school for crafts, games, cookie decorations and hanging out. She said that things are so structured at church that she doesn't get a chance to get to know the kids so she does this for them. I think it's sweet... and a bit on the crazy side! I was reflecting on the fact that we didn't have any problems just dropping him off at this ladies house and how I thought as a parent before this, was something I would struggle doing. But... he had a blast and was telling me all about it when we came and picked him up!

I really am glad that we have found a church home and that we feel like we are apart of it. Its so easy to get lost in the crowd (especially at bigger churches) but even though there are thousands of people who go there we have never felt more connected. :) Our little Dude is getting so big and grown up... going off to holiday parties without us!
