Is it dead?

I have to say that the first time your infant sleeps through the night it's both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time.  Whoo!  because your child slept through the night and that meant you got more sleep than usual... and EEK!  because you're not used to them sleeping that long you wake up in a panic when its light out and its the first time you've been up to get them since you put them to bed at night.  With Tristan I woke up around the time he would usually wake up and when he didn't get up in the next little while I got worried because I thought he should be up... so you go check on them and they're just fine.  And if you happen to drift off the next time you wake up freaks you out!  And it doesn't matter how many children you have the first time they sleep through the night is alarming.  Then, you love it because you know its going to be a more reoccuring theme, which means more sleep!  So, good work my sweet Saurus on becoming such a great sleeper already!

She is so sweet looking when she sleeps.  This was after a particularly difficult time of getting her to go to sleep because she had a belly ache.
Papa Magic.  I love her fat little hands/fingers.

On a much different note, I hit a bird.  Whenever I would see birds on the side of the road (which isn't often because, you know, birds can fly) it always baffles me.  I guess evolution says if you're not smart enough to get out of the way... well, then you probably aren't going to live very long!  We were driving home from my parents house and this robin was just sitting in the middle of the road.  As I approached it it still didn't move... and then last minute it tried to fly up out of the way and I heard a THUD and I looked in the rearview and I just saw a cloud of feathers... oops.  Luckily, the music was turned up loud enough I don't think the kids knew what happened.  That would be a horrible thing to try and have to explain to them on the ride home... But, that is definitely the first time I've ever hit a bird and one of the few times I've ever hit an animal!  Yikes!
