Amy Visit: Farewell

Its that time again... Amy had to go home.  :(  I was glad that I asked her if we could see her before she left!  I knew that she was flying out sometime in the afternoon on Monday so I told her that we would be more than happy to drive up and say good bye!  Even better, we got to have lunch with her!  Apparently Noodles and Co isn't on the west coast so we opted to get some of that deliciousness before she jetted off.

Unfortunately when we got there her Mom's car was having a bit of a crisis (her WHEEL fell off... not just the tire) so her Dad wanted to get home as soon as possible, so they (Her dad and Brian) left as soon as we got there.  It was nice to see Brian one last time, even though it was short and sweet... but this meant we got to drop her off at the airport :).  We enjoyed our lunch and then we had to say good-bye.  I thought we had a wonderful visit and we got to see her face as much as possible!

She has ostrich syndrome when it comes hide and seek when there isn't much to hide behind.

Having some chocolate milk and watching planes is the best right?

It was a bit windy there for our sweet Miss

Full speed ahead!

Sad times... Amy is now on her way

The little while thing at the top of the picture is my dearest friend flying away

Too cool for school

The kids wanted to go to the observation look out and watch planes come and go while we waited for Amy's to leave.  They had a lot of fun... and there was a lot of air traffic for them to watch.  It was pretty windy which kept the temp tolerable.  We did stay the entire time til her plane left and watched her take off.  It was bittersweet seeing her fly off safely.  I may have cried a little...

But these visits just make us all the more appreciative of her when we get to see her and we countdown and look forward to when she will be gracing us with her presence again!  (Dec can't come fast enough!)
