Florida is for dummies

The other day we bought a poster of the United State for Dude to learn some geography and we started talking and pointing out places of where people live.d  We put a star where we lived, pointed out where the cousins live (WV), The Husteds (WA), places where my parents like to vacation and other things.  Then, Dude pointed to Florida and said, "That's where the dummies live... because they have lots of Wal Marts..." I almost fell over because one, it was funny and two, there are so many truths in that statement.



This of course is all on the heels of the Zimmerman v. Martin case... which disgusts me.  I honestly couldn't believe that in this 'modern' USA he wasn't charged with some sort of crime.  Even if it was the lowest degree of manslaughter (because people, a minor DIED) that would've showed some sort of progressiveness to Florida and racism... but no, he's a free man.  WTF.  Honestly, after the verdict came in a lot of people commented on it on my newsfeed and I can tell you that I had a lot of fun unfriending people who were actually cheering and rejoicing in the acquittal.  I can't be friends with morons... just can't.  Really, it's just a head shaker.  The issue on racism.  The issue on carrying GUNS!!  The issue that he had a loaded gun, with hollow tip bullets meant to be fatal.  Woof.  Ridiculousness.  Florida might be becoming the next Texas... gross.
