Recovery day number 2

Well, I survived the actual act of running the marathon, but Sunday night and Monday were a bit sore... and tender.  After eating on Sunday I came back and took a shower and just kinda did nothing.  My sweet husband made sure everything was taken care of so I didn't have to move to much. :)  That night the things that hurt the worst were my joints.  My legs felt really good!  Then when I woke up on Monday my muscles realized what I had done to them the day before... I was pretty sore.  My quads were the sorest of everything, but I can imagine that if my quads weren't so tender I'd be feeling it elsewhere.

However, today is much much better.  I can still feel a little bit, but nothing like the previous day.  I can move around without wincing at every step.  Today Gaetan went on a run this morning and I took the kids on a chariot ride.  :)  I thought that it would be a good way to get the lactic acid out of my muscles without having the impact of running.  although, I do think I'm going to run tomorrow :).  On the way back from the run I looked back and sweet Duder was lending a shoulder to passed out Lu again.  It was adorable.

Upon our arrival home my new shoes were waiting for us on the doorstep!  :)  I do love me some shoes.  I used one of my Christmas coupons from Gaetan to get a new pair.  I ended up with a pair of mary jane crocs... and DO I LOVE THEM!  They are light weight, and easy to slip on and off.  They stay on my feet well, (good for kid chasing) and they are well vented, perfect for the summer!

I also tried a new lentil taco recipe tonight for dinner.  It was delicious.  We had a lentil taco recipe already, but I'm always up for trying new things.  The kiddos liked it too :)  They mostly wanted the toppings (avocado the most) but they did well with the actual taco part as well.

Today was a good day... just ask Duder.  I'll write more about that in the next post.  :)
