Friend visit

Last Friday we had the privilege of having some really good friends over, Quebra and Dizzy.  Tristan loves hanging out with them... and when we told him that morning that they were coming over he was SO EXCITED.  Before they came over we went to the library and when it was time to go (because they were almost there) he dropped what he was playing with, like it was hot, so that we could get home faster to see them.  It's real cute that he can say their names too :)

The really nice part about hanging out with them is they are really laid back, which is SUPER helpful when having small children.  We tried out this place called Taco Bob's... and had funny tacos there.  :)  Those were tasty!  It was nice because I didn't particularly feel like cooking AND i was starving!

After that we came back and the kids played outside for awhile... we made Quebra and Dizzy chase our children haha.  Lucy went down the slide even though there was a huge puddle at the bottom... she didn't seem to care.  Duder was really excited to show Dizzy all the egg shells he found and then was even more  excited when Dizzy showed him one he hadn't seen before!  They played chase and even 'fudao-ed' a tree. haha.

While putting Tristan to sleep he was really concerned that when he woke up they were going to be gone... but after we reassured him that they were going to be here when he woke up he went to bed quite happily.  :)  After the kids were down I got addicted to this Draw Something game on m phone.  So we played that with them for awhile before realizing that we were playing phone games haha.

The next morning Dude was so excited when he came downstairs and saw them here.  He went and snugged on them to wake them up.  :)  We had a nice pancake breakfast and hung out.  I can't tell you how reassuring it is that I can trust them with our kids.  I don't think that they realize how good they are with kids, but they are.  Dizzy is a champ with Tristan... it probably helps that they can be silly together, but Dude really likes being with them.  And even Lucy was letting him pick her up, which is saying something because she doesn't always warm up to people she doesn't know, especially guys.  And while Dizzy can entertain the kiddos I know that Quebra will make sure everything is running smoothly.  :)  It was nice to know that I could be in the kitchen making food and they would be just fine with the kids in the living room.  I know that's not something I can say about all the people I know...

The kids had to go down for a nap and they had to leave... our visits are always too short but I'm glad that they could come down in the midst of their lives!  Dizzy is almost graduated, has an internship and has lots of work to do and Quebra is taking a butt ton of classes this summer.  So we got them for the little while that classes were on break.  :)  We love having them come visit and look forward to spending more time with them!
