Art in the Garden

It's getting warmer out so that means that Art in the Garden is starting back up!  I guess that it is going to happen every other week which is awesome for us!  My kids absolutely love going and its so nice to see my friend Marie.  It was really sweet because the same girls that did it last year are doing it this year and they remembered the kids.  :)  This time before we went to it we went and tried a Dim Sum place that our friends the Boeve's told us about.  We have never had Dim Sum before and wanted to try it and they said that it was reasonably priced... so what better way to kill time between church and Art.  I have to say that the restaurant experience was a bit stressful.  I think that the kids were overly tired from the weekend and then the restaurant itself was pretty crowded.  Dim Sum is where they have a cart of different foods that you can try when they come around.  The kids had these shrimp dumplings, rice that was cooked in banana leaves and this short rib that was good.  They did a great job with eating, but it pretty much took all of our attention to feed them, so we didn't even eat anything!  There is a Vietnamese market attached to this restaurant that sold Bahn Mi's for dirt cheap so we just grabbed a few of those before we left.  I was on sensory overload pretty hard core, so if we ever go back to that restaurant I don't think we will take the children.

On the drive over to Art in the Garden Norah fell asleep in the car so I took the crazies and we did the art.  This time they experimented with using crayons (wax) and then being able to paint over it and still have it show up.  We did some sidewalk chalk and they walked around and showed me which paintings they liked (that the other local artists there were trying to sell).  When we get our own place and if we have the $$ I would love to buy local artists stuff.  Support the cause.  :)

Looking forward to more Art in the Gardens and trying new restaurants.
