Valentine's Day

This year was the first year we made Valentine type treats.  Since Dude isn't in school he doesn't do the whole make and send valentines to his classmates, but I saw this really cute craft that I thought he would like to make and he did really well!  Once I started trying to make it it seemed a bit more confusing than I originally thought, but he picked it up quickly and started making them faster than I was!  The kiddos loved going to the craft store to pick out their colors they wanted to make and then we got to work.  :)  Filled them with all sorts of goodies and we gave them to friends and their teachers.  They got a real kick out of being able to give their teachers something.  









We then made mini cherry pie hearts together as a fun baking experience and then of course G and I did our annual Chinese dinner.  This year, however, we got to go out for dinner while a friend stayed with the kiddos.  It was so stinking cold out though!  






As much as I think this is a silly hallmark holiday I had a lot of fun this year doing things with the kiddos, and, of course, hanging out with my champion.
