Easter

This is the first Easter that my kids have done an egg hunt.  Before we were either too tired, or just having a baby and they were to young to understand and enjoy it... but we figured that this year we would!  Actually, my sister asked if it was OK if they did it because she was going to hide eggs for her kids.  And, if you know anything about my sister's back story this was a huge leap from what we were used too!

I honestly had a lot of fun hiding eggs the night before.  :)  It was also really interesting to watch the pros (Mom and Dad) hide eggs.  They are creative!  And, of course, Gaetan was really good at hiding them as well.  I was really excited for the kids to come down and see all the stuff hidden.  :)  Before they went to bed I told them that they had to come wake us up before heading downstairs because I could just see them going downstairs quietly (as they usually do) and just going to town haha.

The whole thing went a lot better than I thought it was going too.  We hid the baskets so the Youngs had to find theirs before storming the candy.  I honestly thought that they were going to just bully my kids around to get candy but everybody was extremely respectful.  I think that Dude probably got the most candy... he was so fast!  Lucy was very meticulous about picking up each and every one of the jelly beans that she put into her basket... Dude had more of the sweeping motion down.  You should've seen the kids eyes when they started looking around the room and noticed all the candy... it was pure amazement and joy... I loved watching their realization of what was going on!

We even got a few family pics done too!  Honestly, it the most stressful thing to do... get everybody looking at the camera is a feat, but then making sure that they have some sort of pleasant look on their face is a whole nother thing!  haha.  I'm glad that we got to spend this glorious day celebrating with family.
