During his actual appointment the nurses always ask questions to if their brains are working correctly and she asked if he could say 4-5 word sentences... (ha!) and then if he knew 4-5 colors. He was playing shy so he wasn't saying a whole lot so Gaetan was just pointing out different things in the room and asking him what they were, so the first one was green and then the second one he pointed to the wall which was an inbetween color and Dude looked at it very carefully and then said, "I think, maybe, it might be tan." haha. The nurse almost fell over. She pretty much said that if he knows what tan is he probably knows what the rest of the basic colors are. We also had to specify for him that the colors were to be in English too. The last part that floored them all was the math. He was getting his blood checked and she asked him what he liked to do at home and he said math. So, she asked what he knew and he busted out some multiplication. It literally stopped her in her tracks. She was super impressed. :) And she should be!
He looks like such a little man! |
I think I forget that all 4 year olds aren't like this so, so to us it isn't really out of the ordinary. But, I'm guessing that's not the case... Unfortunately, Dude had to get shots at this appointment so that was my cue to leave. He did well enough with them but by the end of the day his legs were pretty sore. Poor Dude got 4 shots... but he is up to date on his immunizations so we can't be to upset about that!
