Apple Orchard

Later that day after the kids appointments we went to the apple orchard with our neighbor Chase.  We were planning on going with Kim too, but there has been so much drama that has been going on in the neighborhood that she just needed some time to herself to regroup and it was going to be good to get Chase out of the thick of it and take his mind off of what was going on.

Last year we tried to find an apple orchard and came up with a dud.  This place was a bit out in the boonies but it was exactly what we were looking for!  It had a bunch of great things for the kids to do and the weather was absolutely beautiful.  We ended up going kind of late in the day so we didn't get to all the fun stuff, but I think that we will try and go again.  :)  there is a huge corn maze, which I'm not entirely sure the kids would be about, but there is a petting zoo, pick your own apples/pumpkins, and an apple canon!





































The kids had so much fun that we stayed until they closed.  They were tuckered out too... and Dude had had his shots earlier so we were trying to get him to run around and work it out... and boy, did he get his running around in!  We could tell that he was hurting though by the end because he wanted to play but was walking around very gingerly.  It was a shame that Kim couldn't come and enjoy the fun, but I'm glad that we could do this for her and I know that the kids had a lot of fun with Chase.  :)  I love fall... and this was just the beginning of the awesomeness!
